Updated review 2024:
The service here is always fantastic! We have been coming here every holiday since I was very young. The food is always fresh and cooked perfectly. We are always greeted so warmly and it’s a highlight of my holiday to dine here. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The proprietors are incredibly kind. I love this place!
2021: We have come here for as long as I can remember. Every holiday we visit this restaurant and we are always greeted with so much warmth. The staff make you feel like family! We are English so usually only visit during the summer, but they remember our names and seem so happy to see us every time!
The menu is simple but incredibly delicious.
The food is executed perfectly and tastes so fresh. It is stark that they pour love into their food and their presentation. The portions are so generous and the price is very low. It’s very difficult, but try and leave space for the delicious desserts…!
I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a unique and distinctly french delight.- Service

Phoned up day before and received confirmation following morning. Welcomed as soon as through the door by name. Waitress very friendly and helpful. Cook presented the meal and verified the meat was cooked how we wanted it.

The waitress was a bit abrupt, but kind when you took the time to dig deeper. The food was quality, and we ate well (although I would have preferred homemade fries). Remember to make a reservation, as it was full for lunch on a weekday in August.

Traduction
I never go to a restaurant in Châtellerault, having often been disappointed. That is to say, I was a bit hesitant to go to this one, even though it was recommended by many. Well, despite the overwhelming heat, I found the terrace very pleasant and finally found people who know how to make traditional and tasty cuisine. Very warm welcome, very good price, very varied menu, I salute Carole and Jean François for their quality which should be recommended. Very warmly recommended by Bobby. Without a doubt, the best address in Châtellerault.

So frankly it's worth having lunch in this restaurant, good traditional French cuisine, in the closed room we have a fireplace and we can grill our piece of meat, (and in summer we can eat outside in the garden under a parasol) there is a very good buffet of unlimited hors d'oeuvres, we enjoy the atmosphere is good-natured no fuss (Very nice) we are well served with a smile and humor. To finish the bill is very very reasonable and the little extra is the private parking which is behind the restaurant there is always space it is super practical!
